John Carpenter's Halloween 3 1982 posters

Wiki Article

"Witchcraft enters the computer age, and a different terror begins."

It didn't go down well with fanatics of the previous two Halloween entries: Halloween and Halloween II. No ruthless murderer Michael Myers could be seen, as was the case in earlier movies.

Carpenter had hoped that Halloween III would be the beginning of an anthology series. An whole new tale about Halloween might be told in a movie every year around this time of year. Although it was a good start, I'd have liked to see them go farther with it. As it turned out, it wasn't meant to be!

A patient who brought in a Halloween mask and was still being treated by Dr. Daniel Challis (Tom Atkins) is killed a few days before Halloween.

Dr. Challis travels to the quaint community of Santa Mira, located in California, accompanied by Ellie, played by Stacey Nelkin. This location serves as the administrative hub for the Silver Shamrock, which is responsible for producing the most popular Halloween mask in the world. The success of the company's marketing campaign—which has a catchy tune that consumers are not likely to forget anytime soon—has resulted in the sale of millions of masks throughout the U.S..

(Based on a milk processing plant, the Silver Shamrock company was created.)

Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy), the CEO of the Silver Shamrock, promises a spectacular Halloween night show for youngsters to enjoy while dressed in costume. Ellie and Dr. Challis realize that if he succeeds, he intends to murder hundreds, if not millions, of innocent people.

Even though Halloween 3 does not have any direct connections to Myers, Loomis, Laurie, or the town of Haddonfield (aside from a few fleeting scenes in which the original Halloween is playing on television), the movie is still a lot of fun to watch on its own.

There are a few key moments in the film that stand out, despite the fact that the film isn't flawless (for example, there's a connection to Stonehenge that doesn't really make sense). As a direct consequence of this, Cochran decides to put his sneaky scheme to the test on the family of Buddy Kupfer, a salesperson who was successful enough to get a special tour of the factory.

Little Buddy, portrayed (this blog) by Brad Schacter, is the first character we encounter in Silver Shamrock. On Halloween night, he put on a Silver Shamrock mask and watched a movie. Needless to say, things go out of control throughout the show, and mayhem follows. Conal Cochran gives a quick history lesson on Halloween's genuine origins.

It goes without saying that I am a fan of the Halloween franchise, particularly the films that followed the original Halloween film, which once again featured Michael Myers. What do you think would have occurred if Carpenter had stuck to their initial idea for the series?

The fan base may not have welcomed Halloween III: Season of the Witch, in my view. The person who chose to include the number "3" in this film is to blame (leading to the impression that it was a sequel).

Now that it's all over, but I still had fun with Halloween III, making Carpenter and Hill's abysmal botch more difficult to take.

Tommy Lee Wallace's movie has it.

Stacey Nelkin, Dan O'Herlihy, and Tom Atkins are the three individuals that stand out as the show's stars.
